Only a short drive from Azulón, you’ll find the award winning and acclaimed South Coast Repertory. South Coast Repertory was founded in the belief that theatre is an artform with a unique power to illuminate the human experience. They commit ourselves to exploring the most urgent human and social issues of their time, and to merging literature, design and performance in ways that test the bounds of theatre’s artistic possibilities. They undertake to advance the art of theatre in the service of their community, and aim to extend that service through educational, intercultural, and outreach programs that harmonize with their artistic mission. In 2013-14, South Coast Repertory marked its 50th Season with a dynamic schedule of plays. The 2015-16 season brings a wide variety of performances including classics, modern masterpieces, adventurous new work, theater for young audiences and holiday productions.
